With 5 weeks under our belt, we thought we’d give some summary stats:

#1 VC attendee? Palamor Ventures Associate Adam Gottesfeld. Runner Up? Randall Lucas of Voyager Capital (here in Seattle). Really, a Los Angeles VC is top attendee?!? Let’s go, Madrona — we know you can pick it up!

#1 Legal attendee? No surprise here… startup attorney extraordinaire Chris Hurley of Beacon Law Advisors has been our top tab-picker-uppper — thanks, Chris!

#1 Banker? Have to give the nod to Silicon Valley Bank — of course, if Minh keeps pimping his services so relentlessly, we may need to assess them a penalty pitcher :-)

#1 Mobile Social App? Definitely Whrrl — fire it up on your iPod!

#1 PBR pitcher buyer? Has to be Foundry Interactive… gotta love ‘em!

OK… see you all soon!

Daryn Nakhuda and the Android (which is which?)

Daryn Nakhuda and the Android (which is which?)

All the PBR you can drink, thanks to @billnordwall

All the PBR you can drink, thanks to @billnordwall

Happy Hour Tonight!

If you’re in the area, stop by Linda’s between 6:30 and 8:30 tonight.

Where? - Linda’s Tavern (Capitol Hill) - 707 E Pine St, Seattle, WA 98122

When? - 6:30pm, every Thursday (starting 9/25/08)

Who/What? - Startup junkies, networkers, folks interested in learning new things and meeting new people, activists, and fun people!

Why? - Here’s the gist:

We were inspired by a fantastic recurring Portland happy hour event called Beer and Blog semi-coordinated by Silicon Florist & others.

We liked that it’s recurring and in a set-location — you can just put it on your calendar, and there’ll always be a few folks to catch up with.

Folks who start companies are frequently inundated with “let’s have coffee/lunch” requests — this gives you a way to aggregate them and make intros/network in real-time.

Other? - Idea is that maybe we’ll bring in speakers from time to time… maybe tech-related, or maybe just cool/fun to help you learn something new/meet someone new. We aren’t stressing over it… we’ll figure it out as we go.

Notifications? - Sign up for our Hops and Chops Twitter or follow the Hops and Chops RSS feed.

Hope to see you at an upcoming Hops and Chops!
